Dr Gabriel Jamie awarded a Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship

Sep 7, 2021

Dr Gabriel Jamie has been awarded a Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship based at University of Cambridge. For the fellowship Gabriel will build on his previous work on brood parasitism and the evolution of polymorphisms to understand the incredible diversity of egg patterns and colours found across the Cisticolidae. Many members of this radiation have some of the most diverse eggs of any birds in the world. Using a mixture of fieldwork, genomics and bioinformatics, Gabriel will study how such polymorphisms have persisted across this species rich African radiation.
